homes themselves: How old are they? What are they worth? How are they
constructed? We'll also review some information about how the homes were
purchased and how they're financed.

The median year of the homes owned by the people surveyed
is 1985. The median market value is $20,000.
The most popular way to buy a home is new from a dealer
- 41% of people surveyed bought their home that way.
Thirty-six percent are currently financing their mobile
home - that's down from 39% in 1999.
Thirty-six percent are multi-section homes.
Aluminum is still the most common exterior siding,
although vinyl is up to 28%.
Forty-nine percent of surveyed homeowners have their
homes on their own private property. Thirty-three percent are in a park
and do not own their lot.
